RockPool

Rock Pool is a wildlife film detailing the diverse beauty and drama of intertidal ocean zones. It is a documentary with experimental and explorative inputs; displaying the importance of these ecological resources not only to provide insight for conservation but also human condition, wellbeing and education. Rock pools remain one of the most important ecological resources of our world, these temporary ocean windows provide insight, grip the minds of adult and child alike, and inspire younger generations to understand and preserve.

Life in rock pools lives at the extreme, in a world that is ever changing and flowing. But life has endeavoured to fulfil the ecological niche of these habitats, evolving complex adaptations and behaviours that allow them to succeed and thrive. This film portrays the wonderful myriad of shapes, colours and behaviours, from the familiar to the bizarre. Our aim is to display the quiet, yet fascinating, drama beneath our feet and why we should strive to protect it.
